How do I enable javascript on my browser?

Javascript enables a lot of extra functionality on websites. If you need to turn it on or off for whatever reason, find your browser in the list below and go to town.

Internet Explorer

  1. Go to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options
  2. Click the Security tab
  3. Click Custom Level in Security Level for this Zone
  4. Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list
  5. Under Active Scripting, choose Enable
  6. Click OK to leave Security Settings. Click OK to leave Internet Options

Chrome

  1. Open a new tab and enter chrome://settings/content in the address bar to open Chrome’s “Content Settings” panel
  2. in the ‘Javascript’ section, select Allow all sites to run Javasxript (recommended)

Firefox for Mac

  1. From the Firefox menu, go to Preferences.
  2. Select the Content icon.
  3. Select Enable JavaScript.
  4. Select OK.

Firefox for PC

  1. From the Tools menu, go to Options.
  2. Select the Content icon.
  3. Select Enable JavaScript.
  4. Select OK.

Opera for Mac

  1. Go to the Opera menu and select Quick Preferences
  2. Make sure Enable Javascript is checked

Opera for PC

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select Quick Preferences
  2. Make sure Enable Javascript is checked

Safari

  1. Go to the Safari menu and select Preferences.
  2. Across the top are some icons, click Security
  3. Make sure the checkbox for enable javascript is selected
  4. Click the little red circle to close the window and the preferences are automatically saved.
